Terms and Conditions
Catalyst Travel, Inc. is an certified business in the state of Washington, approved Seller of Travel through the Washington State Department of Licensing (WA. LIC# 601834612), and accredited member of IATAN (International Airlines Travel Agent Network). Travel Agents with Catalyst Travel, Inc. act as your representative arranging travel services and travel related products on behalf of providers such as accommodation providers, airlines, cruise lines, resorts, tour operators, etc.
Washington State Seller of Travel
Catalyst Travel, Inc. and its agents maintains records and procedures in accordance with its Seller of Travel license. According to the Seller of Travel: Accounting and Record Keeping Procedures of January 2002, "a seller of travel is defined as '... a person, firm, or corporation both inside and outside the state of Washington, who transacts business with Washington consumers for travel services'. RCW 19.138.021(3)"
"'Seller of travel' includes a travel agent and any person who is an independent contractor or outside agent for a travel agency or other seller of travel whose principal duties include consulting with and advising persons concerning travel arrangements or accommodations in the conduct or administration of its business. RCW 19.138.021(3)(a)"
Invoices Required by Seller of Travel License
Information collected by Catalyst Travel, Inc. is collected and dispersed to appropriate 3rd parties in order to conduct travel services on your behalf. At the time of booking, your information is given to 3rd party travel sites and providers to book your trip, make requests on your behalf, and ensure your trip is carried out in your best interests. Invoices from Catalyst Travel, Inc. will be sent to the traveler within 3 business days. The invoice will include the following information so you always know where your information is being shared: "the name, business address, and phone number of the seller of travel, the amount paid, the date of such payment, the purpose of the payment made, an itemized statement of any balance due, the registration number of the seller of travel (WA. LIC# 601834612), and the name of the vendor with whom the seller of travel has contracted to provide travel arrangements for the consumer."
Additional documents will be sent (via e-mail) from Catalyst Travel, Inc., which include detailed invoices from vendor, vendor terms and conditions, vendor cancellation terms, other information provided by vendors, and notices of travel (when available).
Cancellations
"If transportation or other services are canceled by the seller of travel, all sums paid to the seller of travel for services not performed in accordance with the contract between the seller of travel and the purchaser will be refunded within THIRTY DAYS of receiving the funds from the vendor with whom the services were arranged, or if the funds were not sent to the vendor, the funds shall be returned within FOURTEEN DAYS after cancellation by the seller of travel to the purchaser unless the purchaser requests the seller of travel apply the money to another travel product and/or date."
If payments were made directly to vendor, all sums paid to vendor for services not performed shall be refunded in accordance with the cancellation terms and timeline of the vendor.
Travel Insurance
Catalyst Travel Inc. does not directly provide travel insurance to any clients. All travel insurance is sold to travelers through 3rd party providers. Comprehensive travel insurance that meets your personal needs is always recommended. This can include cancellations, medical expenses, lost or stolen baggage, and repatriation of remains. Details provided by the travel agent on a case-by-case basis.
Documentation
Catalyst Travel, Inc. is responsible to make all of the necessary bookings for each travelers' trip. When the booking is done, the traveler will receive invoices from Catalyst Travel, Inc. and the vendor. The traveler is responsible to look over all documents for correct names, dates, and cancellation terms. It is, also, the traveler's responsibility to obtain and travel with proper documents for your trip, which can include an enhanced driver’s license, passport, and/or travel visas. (Travel agents can provide these services through 3rd party vendors.)
